Change. Pivot. Change. Grow.

Hey! So more things happening… I am so excited. Things are really starting to come together. Some aspects even better than before the pandemic!

Sure my massage therapy business was running pretty smooth in a couple locations, and on track for some changes and growth. I was working regularly at Northwestern with the athletes. I was making progress in my resale business and a few other things were starting to manifest as well. I was out of debt. I was happy. Maybe some of these things would have still happened… maybe.

Something the pandemic has done for me, and it seems like many others as well; has been clear away the “static”. At first, the fear of the uncertainty overshadowed everything for me. I had a level of perspective from the start. The what and the why isn’t what this is about though. This is about what happens after. I have been able to really take a look at life and what I want and what I need…and in a deeper way. I think THAT post is for another day though! Today I am keeping it simple.

I have joined Chicago Athlete Magazine as the Operations Director. What does that mean? Well…. a little of this and that, and a lot of figure it out as we move forward! The magazine went digital in 2019 (yup pre-pandemic, what forethought!), as this is the direction many things have been going. Then the magazine was purchased by my fearless leader, and now partner in crime in new adventures Mandi Florip, in early 2020 (also incredible forethought actually) I am heading up social media, revamping the ambassador program with some help, working on stories. Advertising and sponsorship opportunities, stories- feel free to reach out so we can join forces!

Mandi and I are also launching Chicago Athlete Coaching, because “why not”?! We will be offering monthly individual coaching options, a beginners program, and more coming! Running + triathlon, all virtual; with hopes to do some meet ups. Just like the digital aspect of the magazine, virtual gives us a further reach and so many options and directions. This will be great!

So add all of this to other previously mentioned opportunities that I am moving forward with; excited does not even begin to describe how I feel. Fresh. Rejuvenated. Blessed.
